I never know which name to use when the book’s title has both…well, might as well roll with it. I honestly couldn’t make out what the cover was like on shopping sites till I finally got a physical copy for myself. The colours blend together too well, but it’s pretty neat when you can finally see the visual for what it is.

[Game review] Haitaka no Psychedelica / Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk

…Or Psychedelica of the AA-nisus, as the picture says, but enough with name technicalities. In a town where winter is the only constant, a girl named Eiar goes about her life as a boy named Jed, due to her red eye that is associated with being a witch. And what good is being perceived as one, when they’re to blame for when anything goes wrong?

Also, happy Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly release day! I’m glad I managed to finish both games before the localisations happened, go me. I’m really interested in seeing how it’s received!

[Game review] Kokuchou no Psychedelica / Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly

Creepy mansions and amnesiacs, it’s almost like I’m playing one of those indie horror games again! (My personal recommendation, while not exactly horror, is Midnight Puppeteer, but I digress.) A girl meets up with a few other people in said creepy mansion, where they discover that they’ve all lost their memories. Guided by messages from the mansion’s owner on their cell phones, they go around looking for shards to complete a kaleidoscope, and hopefully find a way out.

I finished this game a month ago, but I left this sitting for a while…I wanted to get Ashen Hawk out of the way while still riding the Psychedelica high, so there was that (it took me a while to get through, as well). How do I write a post again…
